How should you dress your child outside in autumn?
One minute it’s sunny, then it’s raining.
Autumn alternates between warm and cold weather, strong winds and rain.
Such rapidly changing weather conditions can cause our little ones to catch a chill, get wet, or overheat..
Blankets mustn’t be too thick. Winter sleeping bags in autumn are often too heavy and can easily overheat little children.
Coverover is the only cover for children which uses thermoactive material.
The highest quality softshell, thermoactive material used in sportswear, is made up of 3 layers. The inner layer of soft, cosy fleece keeps heat in, while the outer layer prevents water permeating the blanket. The breathable micropore membrane prevents dampness and overheating while at the same time protects against wind and rain..
The ideal cover would allow us to be able to to quickly cover and uncover our child. Sometimes they need to be completely cocooned, and sometimes completely uncovered. Sometimes we just want to uncover their feet. Sometimes it’s just enough to have the blanket underneath. It would be perfect to be able to adjust a cover to different parts of the body.
The unique poncho-shaped cut enables these key features:
- both the back and chest can be covered
- a system of zips regulates the airflow at the front and sides
- by zipping up all openings and using the foot pocket, a sleeping bag can be created
- the front of the body can be completely opened by fully unzipping the centre zip
- the child can be completely uncovered and the front part rolled and stowed behind the buggy back rest
- the child’s hands can be kept inside the blanket, or be released by unzipping the sides
- dirty boots can be kept out
- Coverover adapts to every weather condition and need of your child
It’s important that children have a warm back, to prevent a chill near the kidneys. Areas inadequately protected against the cold (such as the chest) whilst other parts of the body (legs) are overheated - as often is with sleeping bags - causes mixed signals to the body, lowering immunity to viruses and raising the likelihood of infections.
Coverover ensures full body protection.
The top layer can be rolled up and placed behind the back of the buggy, leaving only a lining on the buggy, under the child’s back. There is no need to take it entirely off the buggy and store it under the buggy or in a bag.
Thermoactive material protects the child’s back from the cold buggy backrest. It quickly takes in heat from the child and keeps them warm.
The part of the blanket which acts as a buggy liner has universal velcro-closing strap openings, which means it can fit any stroller.
Folding the outer layer of the cover over the head, like a poncho, gives the possibility of evenly protecting the child’s entire body against the cold.
Coverover protects the chest area, which sleeping bags and footmuffs don’t, keeping autumn infections at bay.
It would be great if a blanket was waterproof, because you there’s always count on rain, and even hail, in autumn.
Coverover is waterproof, but breathable.
The waterproof material means we don’t need to worry about always having a buggy raincover just in case. A child in a buggy with a hood will neither be drenched, nor sweat under a plastic raincover. If the buggy doesn’t have a hood, Coverover’s hidden nylon hood can be used to keep little heads dry..
Getting dirty wellies in muddy puddles is fun for all kids who have learnt to walk. It would be great if there were a buggy cover which allowed you to keep dirty wellies out, or that was easy to clean.
During walks with the buggy, my blanket often falls off my child, especially when he moves around, and falls under the dirty wheels. It would be great to have something which ensures protection for the child, without restricting their freedom of movement, and making walks easier for moms.
Coverover means full freedom of movement.
Little ones have full freedom of movement, they can wave their arms and kick their legs, and the blanket will never fall, ensuring the most sensitive parts of their body are protected. Moms will never have to bend down and wash the blanket after every walk, because it will never fall under the buggy’s wheels. Jogging with a child in a buggy is possible, even on autumn’s coldest days.
